What is Mark Keppel High School Alliance?
The Mark Keppel Alliance was founded in 1996 when the Alhambra School District was forced to redraw the high school boundaries after San Gabriel formed its own school district. A group of concerned parents and teachers joined together to form an “alliance” of community organizations, businesses, students, teachers, parents, alumni, and friends, striving to graduate the very best in an effort to draw attention to the facility needs at Mark Keppel. In June, 2004, the Alliance formally incorporated.
To this day, the Alliance has been the advocate on Mark Keppel’s behalf at city council meetings, school board meetings, and in the media. We have raised money to support the academic and sports programs at the school, to provide “the extras” that the school district cannot. We continue striving to meet the goals set forth by the founders of the organization.

For the 2024-25 school year, Alliance will meet on Wednesdays at 6 PM in the cafeteria on the following dates:
8/28, 9/25, 1/22, 2/26, 4/30, 5/28. Everyone is invited to attend!

Fun facts:

-
In March 2009, the Alliance was recognized by the Alhambra Educational Foundation as an "everyday hero" community organization that provides service to education.
-
In 2005, thanks to a generous donation from the mayor Mike Eng, and other community groups, the Alliance was able to donate the electric marquee.
